We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Fence/Gate Estimator to join our team. Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial fence and gate projects
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess project requirements and gather essential information
  • Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to develop comprehensive project proposals
  • Create detailed material take-offs and work with suppliers to source required materials
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to identify project scope and potential challenges
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes to clients, ensuring competitive yet profitable pricing
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, providing excellent customer service at all stages of the estimation process
  • Compile and maintain project documentation, including estimates, proposals, and related correspondence
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new fencing and gate products

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a commercial fence estimator or similar role in the construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of various commercial fence and gate materials, installation methods, and associated costs
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities and a strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in relevant estimation software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites
